Marking gauges come on a variety of forms, their key function is to mark clear lines parrallel to an edge on your workpiece irrespective of the grain direction or 'crankyness' .  Ideal for marking hinge mortices, lock recesses and a myriad of other workshop tasks

Our gauge has a precision ground brass fence, graded stainless steel shaft and a finely honed blade.

The 178mm (7") long replaceable blade bar has a finely turned knurled knob.
